I only made it to the finalists round for the Illustration category, and I also got nominated for Graphics Designer award, but I didn’t get to the finalists round. But anyway, I am extremely happy for having the chance to be recognized —- and all the hardwork I did to make all of my paintings/CG/art in general (even though I felt like I didn’t deserve it at all xD;). So, I’ll really grab this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you. I will continue to make more art and be better at it. TT u TT I feel the love!

Last Wednesday, I was noted by my Author prof Miss Hannah telling me that I was nominated for best Graphic Designer category for our school by another prof (Miss Vannesa Puente).

I was really shocked; I wasn’t expecting it!!!!!! I hurriedly submitted some of my best works and waited for Sunday…

Then Sunday came and good Lord

Oh gawd ; u ; I was in another category —- best Illustration ( ﾟ▽ﾟ)

Some of the works I submitted

 

My good friend Czav invited me for 2 video shoots for an energy drink commercial. Before going to the location, we stayed at her house and think of how we’re going to do this, and of course, what are we’re planning to do in the future. As I’ve said in of my recent posts, I’ll be studying abroad. She, too, is planning to further her studies.

We decided to take IELTS this summer and have a grade of at least 6 (?). After passing IELTS, we’ll be applying at the following universities in UK:

• Leeds Metropolitan University
• Middlesex University
• University of the Arts, London
• Southampton University

I’m still undecided on which University I’m aiming for because there are a lot of good universities that has film and animation in it and not to mention scholarship programs, too.

Anyway, we headed to the venue, still discussing the future. Since the pool is still closed until 1PM, we went to Persia Grill and ate. Thank you so much to Czav’s parents for sponsoring the meal!

As usual, Persia Grill never really cease to amaze me. . well, except for their roasted chicken (P99), which is only flavorful on the outside. Czavrene and her mom ordered the Morb (?) —-chicken meal, while Czav’s dad and I ordered Kubideh (beef; they kind of remind me of barbeques, just without the stick). Yummy! We even had 7216318x refills of yogurt dip and hot sauce xD everyone on that table loves hot sauce XD Extra love ‘cause Abbie was able to come! Aww yeahh ♥♥♥

POOL:

I think I did fairly well on the video shots. I’m pleased * U * Can’t wait to see them edited; will post once the videos are out! Meanwhile…

TRACK AND FIELD:

Finished the two shoots within 3 hours! And to her very supportive parents, thank you so much for treating Ab and I to Subway! I’m inlove with their Grilled Chicken, spicy, but the spice I get from the sandwich is very diff from the spice I get from a hot sauce and black pepper xD Freshly made too!

And on the way home~ pastel sky! Too bad the camera on my phone is of low quality… but it’s ok, at least I have camera :) Great day! I miss these two, I wish I could see the others, too (we’re 6 in our HS barkada)! I’m really satisfied with my shots~ until next time! :D

It was pretty much an impulse. Jaro, Tin and I decided we should try the dessert buffet at Cravings in Shang. 

Cravings at Shang:

On the day itself, Jaro didn’t come ‘cause he had something he needs to attend to. Went there late (I need to stop being a chronic latecomer oTL). By the time I came, Tin, Ly-Ar and Ishi are all having their round 2. I immediately caught up with them. 

Their are only 4 cakes available at that time: Carrot cake, Black and White Fantasy (?), Chocolate Caramel and the White Alps. The best cake was the Black and White Fantasy (pictured on the lower left), moist, tender, and just right. I love their carrot cake too, it has nuts on it. The cream was really yummy! I enjoyed the cream a lot. As for the bread, it’s kinda crumbly. .but I could manage ( ﾟ▽ﾟ)/ The other cakes are a mess. Their caramel on the caramel cake tasted nothing like caramel… instead it tasted like yema, and as Tin said, burnt yema. The White Alps is a mess, for me. The bread is too crumbly. The chocolate triangles on the edge of the said cake is the only thing I enjoyed.

After enjoying 5 cakes and 2 iced coffees, we went to SM Megamall to meet up with Ciarra and Mark.

Jipan:

Ate dinner at Jipan. Food was really delicious! Since Ly-Ar and I aren’t really hungry, we decided to share Pesto Pasta. It tastes really good plus it’s complete with herbs, olive oil. Love, love it! On the other hand, the bread is so tensile, unruly. The house tea is lovely, too! Too bad I’m really full— can’t try their other stuff xD

Well, we all had a great time! Till next food trip ;)

Went to this Japanese restaurant somewhere in Las Pinas with Yui! It was special ‘cause the next day it would my + Juju’s monthsary * U *  Yui and I decided to have our monthsaries on the same date…so basically, we had a double date XD

While waiting for the boys, we kind of camwhored. BLACK AND WHITE FTW <3

I ordered Korokke and Yakiniku for Juju and I, same goes for Yui and Ryuu. :D

 
THE FOOD HERE IS HEAVEN. WE WILL COME BACK, THAT’S FOR SURE. We really enjoyed it, PLUS THE PRICES ARE WAY CHEAPERRRR THAN THE ONES IN LITTLE TOKYO ; u ; Both Yakiniku and Korokke were flavorful, you could taste the freshness of the meat and the potato! Juju let me eat the whole Korokke ‘cause I like potatoes ; u ; Thank you Ju! <3 

The only pic of the night that is not-so-blurred a.k.a matino, but blurred nevertheless. GAAAAAHHH RYUU AND JUJU EVERY FREAKING TIME WE’RE TAKING A PIC THEY JUST AAAAAGHHHH STOP BEING SO FUNNY OH YOUUUU GUYSSS you guys are so adorable ; A ; 

We’re seated near the entrance where there are some old Japanese men are drinking. Anyway, we’re quite shocked ‘cause we’re interviewed by them! HAHA! The lady who attended to us is actually one of the owners of the establishment! And to our surprise, she could actually speak in Japanese, too! She asked us if we’re Jap, we said, partly. And then they (ojiisan) bombarded us with questions TT u TT such friendly folks! But I’m quite embarassed (> ///<) so Yui and Juju answered almost all of the questions meant for me while Ryuu… well Ryuu stucked their with me while I sob /kidding XDD sorry guys!

Anyway, awesome night is awesome! Gotta say that it was one of the nicest place ever in LPC! Hope to be back soon ;)

Went to Angel’s Hills in Tagaytay for our batch’s retreat. TWAS COLLLLDDDD but it’s a nice kind of cold ‘cause its freaking hot in Manila and where I live. 
Ciarra and I started the day finding our prof for his sign. Ate lunch at Starbucks. Forgot what we specifically ordered, mine has shiitake mushrooms on it while Ciarra got pandesal. Both are really tasty. Had not eaten there for a long time! I miss their Green Tea Cream so much ; A ;

Basically, our day are full of sits and walks. I enjoy the walks more, though. The lecture was err, pretty boring.

I should say that… the food —-they’re all tasty!! I keep on coming back for more! I usually don’t ask for seconds, but daaaang, they’re yummy!

Overall, it was pretty fun. I learned a lot of things :)

And next time I won’t forget my jacket …ever again. oTL
